Bayer is one of world’s largest firms in pharmaceutical, chemical and animal health. Over the past 150 years, Bayer developed an important portfolio of product and expertise. Through several acquisitions, Bayer had widened its product range and is now operating in different fields.
Bayer New PS project is a Greenfield project, aiming to replace the 15-20- years old existing plant in Binh Duong, Tan Uyen, Vietnam. The current plant is located close by a housing area and the land would not be available in the next 5 years to continue the operations. In addition, the current conditions on site are not ideal to be fully satisfying with regards to GMP regulations. There is plenty of space available however it would not allow to build a proper facility due to the fact that available space is scattered on the existing land.
The current plant is expected to shut down in the years 2022 to let the operations take place at the new site.
Bayer is producing products for animal health categorized under GMP and non GMP classes. GMP class will include an antibiotic line; Non GMP will also include a liquid insecticide line. More details are available in the process reports.
